Vinci and the Great Leonardo

Stroll along the picturesque streets of the small medieval town of Vinci, located on a hilltop, with your local guide and visit the Church of Santa Croce (Holy Cross) which contains the font where Leonardo da Vinci was baptized.

Visit the Leonardo Museum, which is divided in two sections: Palazzina Uzielli and the medieval Castle of the Counts Guidi. View one of the largest collections of amazing machines and models created by the genius Leonardo, supplemented by digital animation and interactive applications.

From the castle, it is also possible to access the tower’s terrace to enjoy a stunning panorama over the hills and valleys.

Just 3 km away from Vinci is Anchiano, a tiny village set among centuries-old olive trees and the birthplace of Leonardo. Visit the house where he was born in 1452 to learn about the man himself and more about his famous painting, The Last Supper.
